A question we always get asked is how do I ensure my files are ready for print? Indesign is one of the main programmes used to develop your print artwork.. In this quick tips we will explain how you should be exporting your documents to send over for print.
Make sure you have added bleed to your document
1.Bleed is making sure the colour extends past the document size as shown below
2.Go to File > Adobe PDF Presets > [Press Quality]… and click
3.Once you have done this you can now save your file.
4.Once saved a grey box will appear for your export settings
5.Time to add your bleed and trim marks!
Click marks and bleed > Ensure you add All Printer’s marks and also use a 3mm bleed in each box
6.Once you have added all of these you are ready to export and view
