Colour Printing Paper Recycling
UK

At 24 Hour Printline we believe in taking responsibility for our effect on the environment with carefully chosen materials and a full recycling program.

Irresponsible printing can have a big impact on the environment - from the obvious use of large amounts of paper to less obvious issues such as the chemicals used in paper manufacture and where they end up over time. We ensure responsible working practices wherever possible and provide our clients with further options to make their project greener.

Paper from sustained forests
Even with modern recycling methods substantial amounts of trees have to be felled every year to produce virgin paper and pulp that goes into recycled paper to maintain its usability. We ensure all virgin stock comes only from sustained forests, where new trees are planted to replace every tree that is felled.

Chlorine free paper
Natural paper isn’t pure white - it’s actually a mid-brown colour just like brown paper bags. For many years chlorine has been used to bleach pulp a plain white and remove lignin which yellows paper over time. Unfortunately, the chlorine used also finds its way into the environment and contributes to depletion of the ozone, global warming, acid rain and poisoning of wildlife particularly in the oceans.

Waste recycling
Inevitably printworks use up a great deal of paper which has to be cut and trimmed to size producing large amounts of waste paper traditionally just thrown away. We operate a paper recycling program where all offcuts are sent on to recycling mills to be used making new paper or products like paper-padded envelopes.

Recycled paper stock for printing
All our clients have the option of utilising recycled paper for their printing jobs - modern recycled paper quality is exceptional. Let your customers know that you care about the environment and take a simple step towards reducing your carbon and pollution footprint.
